Android 


·      Open the Email application.

  • Tap Menuand the Settings
  • In the top corner, tap select Next to get started with setup.
  • Enter your full Zimbra mail address (e.g. someone@team.channelplay.in) and password, then select Next.
  • On the next screen, you can give the account a nickname and choose the name to display on your outgoing messages. Tap Done.

You can verify your settings from the Inbox view by tapping , select Account and then scroll to Server settings.


Incoming settings:

Outgoing settings:

BlackBerry

 

To set up the BlackBerry's email client, just follow these steps:

  1. On your BlackBerry device, navigate to your home screen
  2. Select the icon that lets you set up email (this can be called SetupSetup WizardEmail SetupBlackBerry Set-upE-mail settings, or Personal Email Set-up)

4. Please make sure you've selected to leave a copy of messages on the server.

5. If your client does not support SMTP authentication, you won't be able to send mail through your client using your Zimbra Mail Address.

6. If you're having trouble sending mail but you've confirmed that encryption is active for SMTP in your mail client, try to configure your SMTP server on a different port (465 or 587).

If setup is successful, you should receive a confirmation message and a new mailbox icon should appear on your device's home screen, labeled with your Gmail address.


iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

 

To configure the 'Mail' app on an Apple device for access to Zimbra mail, just follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your client support IMAP
  2. Open the Settings app on your device
  3. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  4. Tap Add Account...
  5. Enter your account information, being sure to use your full Gmail address (e.g someone@team.channelplay.in and your email password)

Incoming settings:
IMAP server: team.channelplay.in
Port: 143

Outgoing settings:
SMTP server: team.channelplay.in
Port: 465
Security type: TLS (always)

  1. Tap Next
  2. Tap Save

And you're done. 


Outlook /Windows Mail

 

You can retrieve your Zimbra messages with a client or device that supports IMAP, like Microsoft Outlook or Apple Mail.


For Outlook / Windows Mail

  1. Open Outlook or Windows Mail.
  2. Click the Tools menu, and select Accounts or Email Accounts
  3. Click Add.

If you're setting up IMAP for the first time, confirm your settings to make sure they're correct then click Ok, confirm my settings

Many clients will automatically configure the appropriate IMAP connection settings for your account, but confirm that the connection settings your client configures are the same as what's listed below.

If you're using a client that's not listed above, you can also use the following information to configure your IMAP.

  • Incoming settings:
    IMAP server: team.channelplay.in
    Port: 143
    Security type: (

If you see a prompt to add an account when you open Apple Mail, skip to step 5:

  1. Open the Mail app on your computer.
  2. Select the Mail menu at the top, and then Preferences.
  3. Open the Accounts section.
  4. Click the + button in the bottom corner.
  5. Type your name.
  6. Type your full email address (e.g. username@team.channelplay.in).

  1. Click Set up.
  2. Make sure Mail is selected and click Done.

Open Thunderbird, enter your account information and click Continue.

  • Full Name: [your name]
  • Email Address: your full email address [username@team.channelplay.in]
  • Password: your email password. 

Thunderbird will do all of the setup for you, but confirm your settings with the information below.
